in quick review

just a few of the things henry's been up to lately -

making: friends, everywhere he goes. it's the biggest mystery where this e.x.t.r.a.vert came from, because his introverted, hermit parents have zero lessons to share and a million things to learn from their friendly offspring.

drinking: whole milk like the cows are heading for extinction. and water, lots of water - deep, hard gulps of water. stopping only to exhale in loud gasps, then breathe in and out as if he just finished his tenth marathon. 'cause of all the playing, you guys!

reading: the night before christmas (recorded by uncle travis and aunt jessie) and firefighters to the rescue.

watching: bob the builder - which he pronounces "ba! ba! ba! ba! ba!... ba!" incessantly until some attention is paid to his demands. we've watched this particular episode as many as 85 times in the past three months, but the intro song is really where the money's at for hucka.
listening: when he wants to (rarely) :) 
eating: pizza, cheese, and tomatoes.
smelling: mama's flowers. sadly, we've lost a few dozen leaves and petals to his "gentle" touches. "u-ohhhhhhh!"
wishing: mama didn't have to go to work in the morning, bath time didn't have to end (ever), bottles were available on demand, food could be cut the size of his face, washing our hands was obsolete, hard surfaces and corners didn't hurt so much, car seats didn't exist, touching/licking the television was okay, crawling/running through target was allowed, everything fit in the garbage can, there were an infinite amount of q-tips to be dumped onto the bathroom floor,... 
enjoying: the giant bags of duplos one of the physicians i work with donated to him. this boy loves to build!
loving: his brand new vacuum!
wearing: prescription eczema lotion. this winter has been rough on his super sensitive skin, so we finally took him to a dermatologist this week who prescribed him oral and topical meds. we've scheduled an allergy test for next week (which we've heard is super painful and not at all fun) to see if some of his skin irritations can be attributed to something besides eczema. wish us luck!

next week, we're heading to florida to spend time with joey's family for the holiday. we couldn't be more excited! have a great weekend!
