we're still hanging in there begrudgingly waiting for the baby to make her/his appearance. to pass the time i've been picking up new hobbies and trying not to drive joey crazy. he's giving it his absolute best, but when moods shift on a dime around here he's as baffled and frustrated as you can imagine. yesterday we walked the few miles to the local drug store (mostly in the interest of inducing labor. stat!), had a healthy disagreement about my always present irritation with... well, with everything, and spent the rest of the day at a safe distance from one another while i took up birth announcement design and joey snuggled into his football watching recliner. today looks like it might shake out similar to yesterday. hopes are low for baby arrival any time in the next 24 hours, so we'll try our hardest to dust off our positive attitudes and make the best of our childless lives while they last.
