where will we be?

this incredible, snow covered land of frozen mystery?

this poli-hipster paradise?

or just as likely, somewhere in between. we are so excited we can hardly stand it. but it makes us nervous to discover, after it's too late, how difficult it will be to sustain the incredibly strong ties we still have with our families. we're both close to our siblings, nieces and nephews, and parents - though we see them less and less it seems now - and the thought of those relationships suffering after we move breaks our hearts. yet, it's our new little family that we know we need to put first. joey is graduating, and excited to finally be rid of his graduate school shackles and just as excited to explore the possibilities his shiny new masters degree has to offer. so we're leaving it up to chance (and god) and a whole lot of hard work. and we're both trying really hard to remember this

no matter how easy it would be to hunker down, securely nestled near our friends and families.
