a few things for your week before christmas...
when my brother and sister-in-law were in town, and we were in the middle of henry's mysterious cry-all-the-time-sleep-almost-never stage, we were introduced (thank you again guys!) to this marvelous machine. henry doesn't like to admit when he loves a contraption that detaches him from the arms of his delightful parents, but this thing is the only place henry will remain content for longish periods of time while not sewn tightly to his parents. so even if it's not love for huck it's gooshy love for his mother. and now i have no excuse, things must get done around the house again ;)
henry and i are taking an exciting (and also terrifying) adventure together this week! joey has to work until thursday, so he'll come later, but henry and i are flying home for christmas on wednesday. i'm not the type to assume the worst (that's a bold lie, i always assume the worst!) but this flight of the single mother and not-always-cheery-infant could possibly turn the ugliest of ugly. wish us all the luck you can find!
speaking of henry, because what else do i do?, the little angel has recently (for the past four nights!) started sleeping through the night! and can i just say, hallelujah! for the first time in all of henry's blessed life on earth i am rested/functioning/not-even-a-lil-bit delirious. i don't hate it. and now that it's published i expect a sharp turn for the worst tonight, but only because isn't that how these thing go?
i hope your christmas is magical. traveling back home for the first time since moving to virginia and having huck this year makes this christmas season extra special for us. here's hoping huck and i survive the trip! merry christmas!
